Find Yourself Procrastinating? Try This!

I want to talk about a topic we've all struggled with at some point—procrastination.  We've all been there, putting off tasks and dreams, waiting for the “perfect” moment to take action. But guess what? The perfect moment rarely arrives, and we end up stuck in a cycle of inertia.

Recently, I was with a group of women, and we were talking about this very topic. One of the women brought up this concept of “messy action,” and we all latched on to it.

Messy action is all about starting. It’s about taking imperfect or incomplete steps toward a goal or task without waiting for all the details to be perfectly in place.

Here's why messy action is so essential:

1️⃣ Progress over Perfection: Messy action means prioritizing progress over the need for everything to be flawless. By taking imperfect steps forward, we learn, adapt, and grow.

2️⃣ Overcoming Fear and Doubt: As we take small steps and see positive outcomes, our confidence builds, and we realize that we can achieve great things, even if it's not great from the start.

3️⃣ Momentum and Energy: Taking action, no matter how messy, creates momentum. It propels us forward and fuels our motivation to keep going.

So, let go of the fear of imperfection and the paralysis of waiting for the "right time." Take that leap, start that project, and embrace the beauty in the mess.
